On Thursday 23 May 2019 The AvÐÔ°® School hosted Tasmania’s first BiG Day In Junior where over 350 students in Years 5 and 6 from nine Tasmanian Schools participated in the ICT careers conference.

Congratulations to the young men who were inducted as Year 12 Prefects at the Headmaster’s Assembly on 22 May 2019.
On Wednesday 16 May 2019, the Year 12 Prefects hosted their annual Mother’s Day Breakfast in Burbury House.
Yesterday our Year 2 Leaders Induction Service was held in the Chapel where the Year 2 boys were very excited to receive their leadership pins.
On Wednesday 8 May 2019 the Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Community Network (TSPCN) held their annual LIFE Awards before tomorrow’s forum in Hobart.
On Tuesday 7 May 2019 our student-led Environmental and Sustainability Committee met in the Middle School Quad with Veolia to conduct a waste audit.
On Wednesday 10 April 2019 the Middle and Senior School Athletics Carnival was held at the Domain Athletics Centre where the boys enjoyed excellent weather conditions throughout the day.
After demonstrating excellent form and achieving consistently fast race times, the decision was made to send the Head of River winning AvÐÔ°® First Eight to NSW to participate in the Australian Rowing Championships and challenge themselves against the best crews in the country.
On Friday 22 March 2019 our AvÐÔ°® boys hosted their Grandparents’ Day, performing a lovely concert and a morning tea afterwards in the auditorium.
On Thursday 21 March 2019, our Junior School (Years 3–6) Swimming team participated in the annual JSSATIS Swimming Carnival at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre.
