AvÐÔ°® Young Physicists have success at Australian IYPT Challenge

The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award is a Year 12 award voted on by the Class of 2017. It is named in honour of Ben Chuck, an Old Boy of AvÐÔ°® who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash while serving in Afghanistan.
The AvÐÔ°® School Sailing Academy will commence their SB20 Australian Championships campaign tomorrow. This program has been two years in the making and has given our boys the platform to compete at the highest stage.

Our Year 10 students have chosen HeartKids as their charity for 2017. HeartKids is the compass to help navigate the lifetime journey of the 64,000 Australian children, teens and adults affected by congenital/childhood heart disease.
The AvÐÔ°® School Old Boys’ Association (HSOBA) Young Alumni Award was launched in 2016 and celebrates an Old Boy who has left the School no more than 15 years ago, is a good man of character and has excelled in arts, sport, business or community service.
The Ray Vincent Lunch was held today in Burbury House with over 80 members of our community in attendance including a large contingent of our 2017 leavers.
ICAS is an independent, skills-based assessment program which recognises and rewards student achievement.
On Friday we were honoured to receive a visit from a group of our 1957 leavers. 19 leavers and 14 of their partners organised a weekend to celebrate their 60 year reunion which included a visit to the school.
At just 12 years of age, Sheng-Yuan Lynch, in Year 6 passed the Licentiate in Music, Australia (LMusA) diploma examination on piano with Distinction.
